Bendangnaro grew up in the remote villages of Chungtia, Nagaland, but her life changed dramatically at age 10 when she lost her parents and became an orphan. An uncle connected her to a Bible college in Kerala, allowing her to finish high school. During a tense tennikoit match, she had a personal encounter with God that transformed her life completely. A well-wisher also introduced her to Christian Fellowship Hospital (CFH) in Oddanchatram, where she began her nursing career.

Despite her demanding schedule, she often prayed for those who did not know Jesus. Bendangnaro served at CFH for several years and later secured a seat at CMC Vellore for her Post-B.Sc. After returning to ODC, she married David Paul, and they served in the challenging mission terrain of Ladakh before returning to complete her MSc in Nursing.

Now, a decade later, Bendangnaro (Ben David) works as an Associate Professor at CFH. Though she managed to secure a Ph.D. with the INC, she recently chose to give it up to spend more time with God. Ben and David have two sons, Jeremy and James, and David serves as a full-time teacher of the Holy Scriptures, emphasizing the call to discipleship over mere belief.
