Savita serves at Shalom, Delhi as a Medical Consultant and as Project Director.
Shalom is a project of Emmanuel Hospital Association (EHA) which provides holistic care for economically vulnerable people living with HIV or cancer, and in so doing it reaches out to some of the most marginalized groups in the city of Delhi.
Savita committed her life for Medical Missions after having sensed God’s call to serve people living with HIV. She had the opportunity to do her undergraduate (Batch of 1993) as well as postgraduate medical studies at CMC Vellore. Having completed her Diploma in Child Health and MD in Community Medicine, Savita joined Shalom.
In addition, Savita has served as the Palliative Care Coordinator for EHA since 2016,a role which she continues to hold. Savita is grateful for the opportunity that she has had to live out her calling in EHA. It has been a privilege to partner with God to serve those who are precious to Him. Her call to service is motivated by the deep conviction that each person in made in the image of God and has immense value and dignity.
