Denyl & Dorothy Joshua

“When God calls you to be a missionary don’t stoop down to be a king”
has been the motto of my Mission Journey says Dr. Denyl Avinash Joshua. Born to missionary parents he felt Gods call to be a Missonary Doctor.

After completing his undergraduate studies from Armenia, he worked in a mission hospital in Punjab for a short period. Following his Postgraduation from CMC, Vellore  he along with his wife Dorothy also a Paediatrician and alumni of CMC Vellore, felt Gods call to support the mission work in Mizoram. In Mizoram they worked in Aizawl Adventist Hospital where God used them to expand its facilities by pioneering the Paediatric Department and helped establish a New Paediatric ward, NICU and ICU. They were also instrumental  in helping many hard to reach areas with Medical Outreach Clinics.

In 2018, they received a call to pioneer the Medical Missionary work in rural Garo Hills. Garo Hills has been one of the most backward places in the North East. They moved in to a rented building in a small village Jengjal and started a 12 bedded nursing home that provides medical care to people covering a radius of over 50 kms which includes about 50 villages.

The Lord has blessed the work in a short span of time and today today Garo Hills Adventist Mission Nursing Home is a busy Hospital catering to medical needs to hundreds of people in rural Garo Hills.
