Amy is an Anesthesist and Intensivist with an additional degree in Community Medicine. She plays a variety of roles in addition to her medical work including running the campus school, organic farming and animal husbandry, human resource development and staff training, Sunday School and spiritual life, in addition to being a homemaker with 3 active children.
Arpit is a surgeon trained in CMC Vellore. After spending some time as a consultant in CMC, Vellore, Roberts’ hospital, Shillong and then CMC, Ludhiana, he moved to Madhepura, North Bihar with his family. Madhepura is one of the poorest regions of India falling in the worst 25 districts of the country for health. The hospital cares for a variety of extremely sick patients. In addition there is a wide ranging community health and development initiative and also an education arm with 11 non formal schools and a community college.
